MMA is a combat sport that, according to the Unified Rules put together in the 2000s, has 15 weight classes. However, the UFC is not obligated to include all of them, which is the reason why there are “only” 8 weight classes for men and 4 for female fighters. Each UFC fighter competes in one division where they fight against opponents similar in weight and size, and they can also move up or down in weight to change the weight class.

Muay Thai is considered a more robust fighting style than boxing because it teaches you to use all your limbs as weapons, whereas boxing only teaches you to use two hands. Also, Muay Thai teaches how to fight in a clinch position to limit the opponent’s movement, which is illegal in boxing.

White, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, red (in some karate styles), brown, and black are the most common colors in the karate belt ranking system. Upon black belt, there are 10 dan ranks that go from the 1st dan belt to the 10th dan black belt, which is the highest rank in karate.
